About Us

Tritactics is a boutique business that was established in 2006, and offers self defence, personal safety, anger management and aggression outlet programs to a diverse clientele: from businesses to support groups, to offenders (under court ordered programs) or abuse survivors and individuals concerned about personal safety or aggression management. As an abuse survivor and a martial artist, the founder Peter Keogh, has a passion for personal safety and anger management.

Peter has trained with the Bob Jones Corporation (BJC) for over 25 years in the freestyle martial art, Zen Do Kai (ZDK). In October 2007, Peter successfully completed his Shihan grading (5th Dan) in this style. Peter has established and run various programs under the ZDK umbrella both in Melbourne and north-eastern Victoria, most recently setting up the Zen Do Kai Malvern club. Peter is an active member of the BJC family and participates in a number of forums designed to better the Zen Do Kai style.

The professional experiences Peter has gained across a broad spectrum of industries including fast moving consumer goods, security (personal, event and armed), physical education and training have been combined with Peter’s passion for martial arts to establish TriTactics. Peter’s strong business knowledge, attained through managing multi-million dollar business units in large organisations, has allowed him to create a sustainable business that is able to work at all levels – delivering programs to corporates, individuals, families, schools, clubs, community groups and support organisations.

As founder of the Tritactics business, Peter has successfully developed and delivered martial arts, self-defence and anger management programs to a number of Catholic and independent secondary schools in Melbourne. These same programs are also delivered to government schools including Canterbury Girls High School and Balwyn High School. Peter has leveraged his martial arts knowledge, his skills as an amateur boxer and his experiences in the security industry to create a program that is fun for school students, improves their fitness & self-confidence and increases their self-awareness while equipping them with personal safety skills.

Peter has developed and successfully implemented programs for the not-for-profit sector, community groups and the health sector. These programs specifically target ‘at risk’ youth, survivors of abuse, personal safety for community or health workers, self-managing aggressive behaviour and improving self-confidence. Organisations Peter has worked with include Drummond St Relationship Centre, Waverly Help Mates, Austin Hospital Adolescent In-Patient Unit, Royal District Nursing Service and Southern Health. Peter liaises with a number of community organisations to ensure these programs remain relevant and accessible.

Appearances on the Morning Show (Channel 7), 3AW and soon Channel 31, as well as a feature in Blitz (martial arts magazine) have provided an opportunity for Peter to share his story as an abuse survivor. Peter has also been engaged as a speaker at the City of Kingston Mental Health Week where he joined psychologist Michael Carr Gregg and others on a panel discussing challenges facing youth, behavioural reactions to abuse and how to be a survivor. Peter has also spoken at Council for Centres Against Sexual Assault (CASA) events and Neighbourhood Watch forums.
